Common Questions

How do I know if I need a notary?

If your document includes a notary block or specifically states it must be notarized, then you'll need a commissioned notary public before signing it. If you're unsure, don't worry—contact us and we'll help determine whether your document requires notarization.

Can you come to my home or hospital?

Absolutely. We travel to homes, businesses, hospitals, assisted living communities, nursing homes, coffee shops, and other agreed-upon meeting locations throughout Northeast Washington.

Can you notarize a will?

We can notarize signatures when appropriate. However, not every will requires notarization under Washington law. If you're unsure, contact the attorney who prepared your documents or give us a call.

What if I don't have identification?

Washington law requires satisfactory evidence of identity before a notarization can be completed. If you don't have acceptable identification, contact us to discuss possible alternatives allowed by state law.

How much does it cost?

Washington law sets the maximum fee for notarial acts. Additional travel fees may apply for mobile service. Before every appointment, we'll provide a clear quote so you know exactly what to expect.

Can you witness signatures?

Some documents require witnesses in addition to a notary. Let us know what you're signing, and we'll explain what is required. If witnesses are needed, we can discuss available options before your appointment.

What if I need a notary today?

We do our best to accommodate same-day and urgent appointments whenever scheduling allows. Give us a call, and we'll let you know our availability.

What Do I Need to Bring?

What forms of identification are acceptable?
Should my documents be fully filled out?

A current, government-issued photo ID is required. Common examples include a Washington driver's license, state-issued ID card, U.S. passport, military ID, or other government-issued identification permitted under Washington law.

Yes, all blanks (except the signature) must be filled before we arrive. We cannot notarize incomplete documents with missing information or blank spaces. Do not sign the document before the notary arrives unless you have been specifically instructed to do so.

Can you provide legal advice or explain the form?
What common documents do you notarize?

No. As notaries, we are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice or explain document contents. We only verify identities and witness the signing process.

We notarize many types of documents, including powers of attorney, healthcare directives, trusts, affidavits, deeds, real estate documents, consent forms, business documents, and many others. If your document contains a notarial certificate, we can likely help.
